This strawberry, also known as "Shin Kurenai no Mirei" (真紅の美玲), is a Japanese variety. Despite "Black" in its name, it's not truly black but a deep purplish-red, significantly darker than common red strawberries. The berries are conical, intensely aromatic, and have fine, juicy flesh. Black Pearls are remarkably sweet, boasting a Brix level of 17% even before fully ripening. They also possess a pleasant firmness, giving them a substantial bite, and their overall flavor is exceptional.
